Rehearsal Extension Privacy Policy

What Rehearsal does

The Rehearsal Chrome extension records your screen, and optionally your microphone and camera, when you start a recording. Recordings upload to your own Rehearsal workspace on amadae.co so you can share them with a link.

What we collect

• Screen, microphone, and camera media you actively choose to record. Nothing is captured before you start a recording or after you stop it.
• Your recording preferences (microphone on or off, camera bubble on or off, workspace selection), stored in Chrome extension storage.

The extension does not collect your browsing history, does not read page content outside of an active recording, and contains no advertising or analytics trackers.

Where your data goes

• Recordings are uploaded to your Rehearsal workspace, hosted on Google Cloud Storage, and are accessible to you and to anyone you share a link with.
• Microphone narration is transcribed by OpenAI (Whisper) to generate captions and a transcript. The audio is processed for transcription and is not retained by us as a separate audio file.

Your data is never sold and is not used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the recording and sharing features.

Sharing and deletion

Recordings are private to your workspace until you create a share link. Share links can be revoked at any time. Deleting a recording removes it from your library and immediately disables its share links.

Authentication

The extension does not ask for or store your password. It uses the signed in session from your browser for amadae.co; signing out of the web app disconnects the extension.
